What mainstream Oncologists , Pathologist, Surgeons said.1. Tumors size is one of the strongest indication of severity of cancer (increasing). Chemo therapy can help tumor to shrink - indicating that chemo works. When tumor size increases after chemo treatment, it indicates that tumor is not working responding to treatment. Either continue with it or change chemo compound (different types). 2. Tumor activities is seen by increase SuvMax (above 1-2) from CT/Petscan. It is the "clearest and undisputable" truth of tumor metabolism (activities) - quote from an Oncologist. 3. If the tumor is not removed, and radiation is not administered, there is no guarantee that metastasis (spread) can be contained. 4. Chemo treatment process does NOT measure the tumor activity during the course of the therapy. We don't know if the tumor size changes along the way, or tumor cells percentage are dying. It is a black-box. Take the chemo therapy and wait for the full course to complete and test the results. If tumor does not shrink, try something else. From many feedbacks, patients who experience side-effects of chemo (hairloss, vomitting, etc) use this as indicator that the treatment is taking effect. | What NGPDT doctors said.1. Tumor size does NOT necessary indicate severity of cancer. During NGPDT course of treatment, tumor lump could increase from 30-50% in size. Inflammation inside of the tumor had been seen as a positive response to the Photosentisizer to NGPDT. The body immune system recognises the raptured cancer cells and T-Cells are attacking them get rid of them. 2. Immediately after the NGPDT treatment process, the SuvMax could show increased value. This is caused by inflammation from the immune system working on the necrotic or apoptosis (cell dead). Hence PT/CT Scan may not be very useful. 3. As NGPDT process also kills the microscopic cancer cell lurking in different organs, sometimes, after a NGPDT treatment, the CT scan could show up "new tumor areas" from SuvMax ratings. Some patients blame NGPDT inability to prevent the spread of tumor cells (metastasis). However, NGPDT merely shows up areas that the original CT scan could not detect. 4. It's hard to tell whether the tumor is responding well to the NGPDT treatment especially for tumors that are not on the surface like a neck. There are little visible discomfort (no hair loss, no vomitting etc) during the therapy period. So it is quite unnerving when the NGPDT works silently. Several NGPDT patients stopped this treatment because they felt that they did not experience any 'negative effect'. |
Take care of our Body to boot out the cancer cells.
1. Many of us do not realized has a portion of our body contains cancer cells. Our body is an amazing biological system. It fends off so much intrusions in the forms of radiations, foreign bodies like bacteria, virus, metals, parasites, free radicals, dust, noise, chemicals, artificially created food preservatives, pesticides etc. yet, it continues to function and give us our quality of life.
A computer essentially does the same thing, although not as robust as the human body. When we wake up in the morning, it's like a computer booting up. All systems needs to start up, hard disc, memory, registers, programs, system checks for virus, check of network, start up instructions etc, We need to give it time to start up so that it will run smoother for the rest of the day. If we start clicking on various programs, browse the Internet, start up a game... before all th systems are fully loaded into memory, it slows down the start process, fragment the memory space and could create non-ideal state. It will still function but not perfectly.
Similarly, when we wake up after a long night sleep, we need to slowly warm up with some stretching. Drink some liquid, clear the breadth, clear our bowels and bladder. Comb our hairs (which massages the skull). It is not ideal to jump up and start running or jump into cold shower. It will work, but it also taxes the body. Take breakfast to give it new fuel to start the day. And over they years of same behavior, our body may not function as well. Some of us never shutdown our computers, we let them run without shutting down for weeks and we noticed it behaves unpredictably. While the system flushes the cache, auto saves some opened files to disc, or moves programs around the main memory to maintain contiguous location references (to improve efficiency in data retrieval), over time memory thrashing could occur when we are tight on memory.
Our body without proper sleeps and rests could also go through the same responses. We get cranky, feel tired, or our lowered immuned system were susceptible to illness.
