Mom completed the (4th) last NGPDT treatment in Guangzhou was 1 April 2012. Yesterday, May 16, we visited Dr Li at his resident hospital in Beijing for a check up.
Good news! The doppler scan indicated the breast tumor had shrunk by about 25%. And the vascularity around the lesion had disappeared. Without blood vessel feeding the tumor area, the tumor cells would not survive. In fact, Mom could feel that the lump in her beast is much smaller (flatter).
This is significant outcome. It was 12 months ago, May 2011, when the Oncologist first told our family that Mom had confirmed Breast cancer stage 3. We saw 3 different Oncologist, 1 surgeon, and 2 other GP doctors for opinions. At that time, Chemotherapy and surgery was the only option given to us. Against the toughest battle against mainstream professional recommendations, we explored alternative method of therapy.
By chance and coincidence (or divine intervention), I met Dr Lim Eng Huat at an YPO social event. Dr Lim had been working with the NGPDT team in Guangzhou to introduce NGPDT as a viable and alternative method to cancer treatment. They have been doing this for 8 years in GZ and this technology was in existence for over 30 years. I was told that it was invented by 3 scientists, an American, Russian and Swedish researchers. It was called PhotoDynamic Therapy. The Researcher went separate ways to develop this technology independently. In the US this PDT is still used for skin cancer as the light penetration into tissue is not deep enough for organs treatments. However, the Russian scientist went further and invented a special photosentitizer agent that is more powerful and light wave length that could penetrate deeper into the body tissue to reach into tumors affecting organs. This is the New Generation PhotoDynamic Therapy (NGPDT).
Anyway, we decided to use NGPDT as the path to treat my Mom's breast cancer. Almost 12 months later, the tumor has began to shrink. The process of this treatment is documented in this website from the first 30days till today.
I have received over 100 visits daily to this site since i started authoring this site. And have have received several enquiries from strangers whom I have never met, seeking advises and asking me about this. I am glad that this site has been helpful to provide information to all of you seeking better alternative to mainstream method of Chemo therapy.
NGPDT has worked for my Mom! I am NOT PAID to say this. In fact we pay for the treatment as any patient would. My Mom (who speaks little English) wanted the world to know how this has helped her and spread the words to help you or your love ones out there battling cancer.
My advise: Do your research! Make the decision early. Stick on course! And ask the tough questions to the doctors WHY they are recommend this or that. DO NOT TAKE "trust us" as the answer. I am glad that the folks at NGPDT had answered all my questions, directly, transparently and without hiding any details. The truth is hard to swallow somethings, but it help me make the right choice of treatment for my Mom.
ALL THE BEST TO YOU ALL OUT THERE! THERE IS HOPE - THE DECISION LIES IN YOUR HANDS. Alex
