Exactly 12 month after discovery of Cancer... how is Madam Thoo doing?
1 July 2012, Keppel At Marina Bay, Singapore
On July 2011, we received confirmation that Mdm Thoo's breast cancer was malignant, it was stage 2A or 3B. It had spread to the lymph node on her right armpit. There were 2 lumps on her right breast.
We struggled to make the decisions on the next course of actions. Today exactly 12 months later, Mom is doing well. Her tumors had shrunken. It could be felt from outside. She also did not feel the pain from inside. Mom exercises everyday. Thanks to NGPDT treatment, her last 12 months journey had minimal discomfort. She did not suffer symptoms of Chemo/Radiation treatment side-effects of hair loss, nausea, pain etc.
Today, she continues with herbal supplements that keeps her healthy. Less bad carbs (white flour, white rice, white bread etc). She takes brown unpolished rice, wheat flour, lots of vegetable and is doing regular meditation.
Well, at least for her diet, that's what she is telling me... As i don't live with her, I think she might sneak some unhealthy food once a while. Just like us when we were kids - who had not cheated, huh? I think overall, as long as she is aware of the right stuff to take and minimise wrong stuff, it should be ok. We survive cancer not to be imprisoned by our own habits. We still have a life to live! Carpe Diems!

Over the last few months, Mom received many well wishes from all over the world. Thank you for all the wishes and prayers.
As a result of this website, I have received a lot of emails and enquires about our experiences with cancer and specifically about NGPDT treatment. I have given top attention to response to all these email and blog responses. Mom and I wanted to share our journey so folks out there can learn from our experience and hopefully plot a good path for themselves.
Unfortunately, only a few patients and caregiver to the patient took the path to Guangzhou for the treatment. For some who eventually went to NGPDT, they did it only when all else failed. Here are my "statistics" For 2 patients who decided on NGPDT after all else failed - made the decision too late, as NGPDT center could not accept them. Unfortunately their father passed on. God bless their soul. For 2 of them (Malaysia and Indonesia), they went for 1-2 NGPDT treatment and stopped. They return to other methods of treatments of their choice. I lost track on their progress. I look forward to hear from them so that others could learn from their decisions. For 1 patient who is a 5-year old girl. It was hard for NGPDT team to handle patients of young age hence was not able to do NGPDT.
Presently, Benny brought his 32-yr-old son to GZ in June 2012, for the NGPDT treatment. It was a 2-month long deliberation before they were able to go GZ. They told me they were glad they went. His son "felt" the effect as they performed the Interstitial procedure. For a Jenny from Shanghai, I wish your mother well. I know you visited GZ, and Beijing - I heard that your Mom is presenting going through the therapy. For Mrs Tan, from Malaysia, she is going through Radiation first in SIngapore (currently). They would decide on NGPDT after the radiation procedure (August). On the positive outcomes, I have met and spoken to several patients over email or face-to-face who went through NGPDT treatment and had recovered. John and Porter are 2 whom I had contact with. There are other positive testimonials as well from patients.
I realised that through this website and blogging, it is not easy to share one's experience with the public. Even though it would benefit others in learning from others who walked the same path. I encourage for those who had read this website to share their experiences and discoveries. Even through you have subsequently learnt of other ways of treatment please share. It helps others who are going through the same path that YOU have already passed.
Many people who asked me about NGPDT and my experiences, probably had used the information to help them make critical decisions in their choice of treatments. I wish them well and best of health.
Since I have not update me of their progress. I am wondering how they are doing. It would be great if they visit this site and post their experiences here for others to learn to do or not to do.
